2022 Mourvèdre + Shepherd's Pie

Our 2022 Mourvèdre started at Alder Ridge Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Its nose has complex aromas of earthy, black cherry fruit, and the finish is black pepper and blackberry. A little bit of Angiolina Syrah provides lusciousness and body.

It’s tricky to pronounce (“mohr-VED-dra”), but once you get over that, you’ll find a truly remarkable wine at an affordable price.

Pairing suggestions: Our pairing with this delicious wine is Shepherd's Pie. There are many recipes for this classic dish online. We made our dish plant-based, but you can also use your favorite beef or lamb filling. We went all in on the black pepper, which blended well with the wine's peppery notes. Another dish that we’re planning to try with the Mourvèdre is a Mushroom Flatbread with White Miso. It sounds so earthy and savory… a perfect pairing!
