At Spruce Hill Winery, we are always seeking out ways to lessen our impact on the environment

Here are a few ways our winemaking practices align with our values.
-

Spruce Hill Winery is a One Tree Planted business partner. When you buy a bottle of our 2021 Rainforest Red wine, we contribute to United States-based projects that are planting trees to recover ecosystems after natural disasters, restoring habitat for biodiversity, stabilizing vital watersheds, and more.
-
Our first choice is to reuse wine shippers. When we must buy new, we buy pulp wine shippers that are made with 99% recycled fiber and are 100% recyclable. We welcome you to return shippers to the winery so they can be reused.
-
It’s what’s inside that counts! These wine bottles reduce the cost and environmental impact of shipping the bottles to the winery and when we ship our wine to you. We also eliminate waste by not applying capsule enclosures to our bottles.
-
Just bring your corks to the tasting room and drop them in the TerraCycle box.
-
In 2025, we switched to Origine by Diam sustainable wine corks. In addition to providing a TCA-free wine experience, these enclosures are made from ground cork that uses bio-based binding agents and 100% natural beeswax.
